Purchaser – Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

About the role

As a Purchaser at ABF, you will ensure the right products are available at the right cost by working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will help shape a growing, international supply chain and contribute to more structured, scalable processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and replenishment to keep stock levels optimal and costs competitive.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including key partners, to secure favorable terms and uncover new opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with confidence.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify improvements in cost, quality, and reliability.
• Shape and improve procurement processes as the department scales.
• Represent ABF on business trips and supplier visits (approximately 1–4 times per year).

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a commercial role, purchasing, sales, or customer service, preferably in an industrial or technical sector.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a good understanding of pricing.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of results.
• Comfortable operating in a growing, changing organization.
• Fluent in English; Dutch or additional languages are an advantage.
