Registered Nurse - ICU

About the role

Join the ICU team at Hollywood Private Hospital, an acute care facility in Nedlands, WA, and provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to critically ill patients. You will work alongside experienced nurses, medical staff and a multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to ICU patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients continuously and recognise changes in clinical condition.
• Respond promptly to deteriorating or critically ill patients within scope of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments safely in line with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with medical, nursing and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the healthcare team.
• Support safe transitions of care and conduct thorough handovers.
• Uphold infection prevention and control standards and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 12 months experience in intensive care or critical care nursing; cardiothoracic experience desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making abilities.

Required skills

• Medication administration in an ICU setting.
• Clinical documentation and record-keeping.
• Infection prevention and control practices.
• Use of ICU patient monitoring equipment.
