SAP / BTP Development Specialist

About the role

Nyrstar is looking for a SAP / BTP Development Specialist to design, build and maintain smart SAP and Business Technology Platform solutions that support critical business processes across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance key SAP and BTP applications such as Metal Accounting, Exposure Management and F&A Pricing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure system reliability.
• Modernise custom code following SAP best practices and the company’s digital roadmap.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert across core business processes and guide offshore development partners.
• Lead system upgrades, integrations and SAP BTP / S/4HANA transformation projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to strengthen internal knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• SAP ABAP certification.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, preferably in finance, logistics or commercial modules.
• Knowledge of SAP integration technologies (OData, APIs, IDocs, RFCs).
• Experience with SAP BTP components, SAP BW certification is a plus.
• Strong foundation in SAP finance, commercial or production modules.
• Proficiency in English; Dutch, French or German are a plus.
