Senior AWS Platform Engineer

About the role

Luscii builds digital health applications used by millions of people, such as the Luscii Thuismeten app and OMRON Connect. The company is modernising its cloud platform in-house, moving away from external partners toward a more reliable, scalable and future-proof foundation. This is a remote, Netherlands-based role for a Senior AWS Platform Engineer who shapes cloud and engineering standards, introduces Infrastructure as Code, observability and safe continuous delivery, and improves developer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve the AWS platform using Terraform as the single source of truth, gradually modernising the cloud landscape.
• Build reusable infrastructure, deployment pipelines and platform tooling so engineering teams can ship independently and safely.
• Introduce pragmatic cloud-native and event-driven solutions that improve scalability, reliability and maintainability.
• Make observability a default through standardised monitoring, logging, dashboards and alerting.
• Improve deployment practices with automated CI/CD, progressive delivery and reliable rollback strategies.
• Embed security, compliance and cost optimisation through automated guardrails and best practices.
• Coach fellow engineers, review infrastructure and application code and raise the cloud engineering bar.

Required profile

• At least 6 years of experience building and operating large-scale cloud platforms, with the same amount in senior-level ownership of modern cloud architectures.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), treating infrastructure with the same rigour as application code.
• Strong backend engineering experience, preferably with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Fluent English, as it is the primary language of internal communication.
• Open to working in a Holacratic organisation.

What we offer

• Salary depending on background and experience, with a maximum of approximately 86,000 to 94,000 EUR per year.
• Remote-first work from anywhere in the Netherlands, with monthly in-person team days.
