Senior Cost Engineer – Electrical Engineering (Netherlands)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Engineer to join our electrical engineering team in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates and calculations for complex electrical projects, ensuring financial feasibility while supporting sustainable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and calculations for electrical projects up to €2 million.
• Develop work descriptions and commercial quotations.
• Support projects from the preparation phase through completion with a strong focus on cost engineering.
• Coordinate material selections, subcontractors, and required resources/hours.
• Assist pre‑engineering activities during tender phases.
• Visit clients and project sites to ensure optimal alignment.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, contract managers, service coordinators, and technical teams.

Required profile

• Completed electrical engineering qualification (minimum MBO‑4 level or HBO level).
• Several years of experience as a Cost Engineer, Estimator, or similar role in electrical installation technology.
• Proven experience preparing technical calculations and project budgets.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
• Ambition to continue professional development.
