Senior Data Scientist – Generative AI & NLP

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the design, development and deployment of cutting‑edge Generative AI, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and Natural Language Processing solutions for our life‑science products. You will work across the full data‑science lifecycle, delivering production‑ready Python code and collaborating with software engineers and domain experts in biology and chemistry.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and preprocess large multilingual datasets for model training.
• Develop, test and optimise NLP, transformer and Generative AI models, including RAG pipelines and AI‑agentic systems.
• Package data‑science components as reusable Python libraries and support their deployment with engineering teams.
• Define quality metrics, monitor model drift and implement automated re‑training strategies.
• Present results and technical insights to stakeholders and lead small‑scale projects.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in applied data science, with a focus on Generative AI, NLP and machine learning.
• Proven ability to deliver production‑grade solutions and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
