Senior Financial Analyst - Global Product Costing

About the role

JDE Peet's is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for its Global Product Costing team in Utrecht, Netherlands. The role acts as a key link between the Global Product Costing Manager and a team of analysts, coordinating, reviewing and delivering accurate product cost calculations and COGS reporting. It covers end-to-end costing, from calculation and forecasting to analysis and stakeholder communication, in a global FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide a team of Global Product Costing Analysts to deliver total COGS on time for forecasts and planning cycles (AOP)
• Manage the end-to-end costing process, including assumptions alignment, calculation sequencing and dependency management
• Review and validate standard costs, cost calculations and outputs in SAP
• Analyze cost movements, variances and key drivers, and act as a financial sparring partner to FP&A and operational stakeholders
• Co-present COGS results and insights to senior Finance leadership regularly
• Lead forecasting and modelling of total company COGS, and support quarterly forecasts and the Annual Operating Plan
• Drive automation, standardization and continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with IFRS inventory valuation and transfer pricing principles
• Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching and technical support to analysts, without direct line management responsibility

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Controlling or Product Costing, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing
• Experience or strong interest in coordinating complex financial processes with multiple stakeholders
• Fluency in English, written and spoken

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Solid understanding of Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Procurement cost drivers
• Product Costing or Standard Costing experience is a strong advantage
