Senior Movement Operations Associate – Movement & Data Processing

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Movement Operations Associate to lead movement and data‑processing activities for migrants and refugees in the Netherlands. Reporting to the Cluster Manager Movements and under the Chief of Mission, the role ensures smooth travel coordination, accurate data entry, and effective team supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise up to eight staff members handling travel coordination, booking, and data processing.
• Schedule and book travel, distribute Advance Booking Notifications (ABNs), and issue updates on flight changes or cancellations.
• Record demographic and biographic information in the MiMOSA system, confirm receipt with third parties, and ensure data security.

Required profile

• High school diploma with six years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a social science field with four years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience in movement operations, transportation management, or resettlement programmes, including familiarity with IOM movement systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Amadeus or another airline Global Distribution System (GDS).
• Knowledge of the MiMOSA data‑processing platform.
