Senior Projects & Engineering Manager

About the role

Kraft Heinz is looking for a Senior Projects & Engineering Manager based in Amsterdam. The role leads the development and execution of capital projects, aligning them with business objectives and quality, environmental and safety standards, and coordinates with plant Project and Engineering Managers to maintain the 3-year master plan.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure capital projects are completed on time, within budget and to quality standards by challenging and supporting plant project teams.
• Critically evaluate project CARs, challenging schedules, budgets, scope and constructability, and promote solutions that meet business needs.
• Act as focal point and reviewer during CAR, Pre-CAR, Emergence CAR, Pre-TPR, TPR and FEL preparation and presentations.
• Act as first approver for project scope changes affecting scope, budget and timelines, and lead supplementary CAR preparation and approval.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain Development, Procurement and Logistics, and ensure compliance with Engineering Standards, Preferred Suppliers and Project Procedures.
• Support the Head of CAPEX and Engineering in implementing project management processes and enforce KHMS on design.
• Drive plant Engineering Managers to improve equipment, production lines and operating systems, and build relationships with Factory Managers, Package Sponsors and Operations leadership.
• Provide technical guidance to the team, lead adoption of the Engineering Pillar of the Manufacturing Playbook (KHMS), and collaborate with the PMO on project status reports.
• Act as Project Manager for confidential projects when requested, and support plant Project Engineering Leads in master data handover at close-out.

• Strong technical expertise in engineering and project management, with experience managing capital projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
