Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE & AI Platform Operations)

About the role

HelloPrint is rebuilding its entire platform and needs a senior engineer to own reliability, cost, and AI runtime guardrails. You will be responsible for ensuring fast, safe releases while keeping services highly available.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce SLOs, SLIs and error‑budget policies for core customer journeys.
• Expand distributed observability using Telemetry, Sentry and Google Cloud Monitoring across microservices and infrastructure.
• Partner with product teams to implement progressive delivery, canary traffic shifting and SLO‑driven rollbacks.
• Architect, monitor and scale AI runtime infrastructure, managing cost, latency and provider availability.
• Drive FinOps practices on Google Cloud, optimizing compute/storage footprints and enforcing budget guardrails.
• Lead on‑call incident response, conduct blameless post‑mortems and automate root‑cause remediation.
• Forecast capacity, run automated load tests and validate disaster‑recovery targets.
• Maintain IaC pipelines with Terraform and Google Cloud Run, ensuring least‑privilege IAM and secret management.
• Build internal tooling and self‑service deployment primitives to eliminate toil.

Required profile

• Proven production SRE experience with high‑traffic, low‑latency systems.
• Strong Linux, container, database and network troubleshooting skills.
• Extensive hands‑on work with GCP, Google Cloud Run and Terraform.
• FinOps mindset with a track record of cloud cost optimization.
• Experience configuring Sentry and Google Cloud Monitoring for SLI tracking.
• Automation skills in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript and familiarity with Laravel/PHP.
• Knowledge of operationalizing LLMs, embeddings or other AI workloads.
• Pragmatic engineering approach focused on durable guardrails and automation.
