Senior Solutions Architect – Lakebase

About the role

The Solutions Architect (Lakebase) team executes Databricks’ strategic product operating model, focusing on early‑stage product lines to achieve product‑market fit and drive revenue growth. The role partners with account teams to engage clients, position the Lakebase product line and guide adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with GTM leadership and account teams to design and execute high‑impact engagement strategies across the assigned territory.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and champion, building technical credibility with stakeholders to drive product adoption and vision.
• Enable clients at scale through workshops and customer‑facing collateral that increase technical knowledge and thought leadership.
• Influence the product roadmap by translating field‑derived, data‑driven insights into strategic recommendations for Product and Engineering teams.
• Act as the tier‑3 escalation point for complex technical challenges, ensuring customer success in mission‑critical environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years in a customer‑facing pre‑sales or consulting role influencing technical executives and driving data strategy adoption.
• Proven ability to co‑plan large territories with Account Executives and work cross‑functionally with GTM and R&D teams.
• Experience collaborating with Global System Integrators and third‑party consulting organisations to deliver customer outcomes.
• Undergraduate degree or higher in a technical field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or Engineering.
• Track record of delivering complex projects in fast‑paced, customer‑facing environments.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in transactional databases (OLTP) and designing client‑facing solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience using Apache Spark or similar analytics engines.
• Hands‑on experience building solutions on major public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, high availability, backup and recovery, scale‑out, identity and security management, and migrations.
