Specialist External Analytical Sciences

About the role

Join the Global Quality – Large Molecule Analytical Sciences team at MSD’s Oss site to provide analytical oversight for commercial biologics and vaccines. You will act as the primary technical liaison with external testing laboratories, ensuring compliance and on‑time batch release in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide analytical oversight for commercial large‑molecule biologics and vaccine products within the external testing network.
• Serve as the main technical contact for external laboratories and manufacturing partners, building strong relationships and ensuring governance.
• Lead investigations, deviations and troubleshooting to resolve complex testing challenges.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance analytical performance, compliance and efficiency.
• Support method lifecycle activities, including transfer, validation and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (5 years), Master’s (4 years) or PhD (2 years) in a relevant scientific discipline with relevant industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a laboratory focused on biologics, vaccines or other large‑molecule products.
• Experience with analytical method development, validation, transfer and lifecycle management in a GxP environment.
