Vendor Manager – Europe (Ecommerce & Merchandising)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vendor Manager to lead our European merchandising function for a fast‑growing global ecommerce business. Based in Amsterdam with a hybrid work model, you will own supplier relationships, category growth and commercial performance across multiple European markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute category assortment strategy and product lifecycle management across Europe.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard new brands, suppliers and product opportunities.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, including pricing, rebates, marketing investments and supplier terms.
• Build strong vendor relationships to improve margins, drive innovation and support long‑term growth.
• Manage product launches, catalogue optimisation and regional expansion.
• Analyse category performance, pricing, margins and customer trends to influence decisions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Compliance and Global Merchandising teams.
• Ensure all products meet European regulatory and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in buying, category management, merchandising or vendor management.
• Proven commercial negotiation experience with suppliers, manufacturers or brands.
• Background in international ecommerce or retail environments.
• Strong analytical ability to use data for decision‑making.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across regional and global teams.
