Application Engineer – Simulation Market Segment

About the role

Moog is seeking an Application Engineer to join its Simulation & Test Business Unit in Nieuw‑Vennep, supporting flight and other simulator applications for leading aerospace and automotive customers across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, set up, tune, and troubleshoot new and upgraded flight simulator systems.
• Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for hardware and software installations.
• Provide in‑house testing support to the Production Department.
• Act as the primary technical liaison between Moog’s engineering team and customers, traveling to customer sites as needed.
• Gather customer requirements, advise on best practices, and translate future needs into product development proposals.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in simulation, motion control, or aerospace test systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with flight or vehicle simulator hardware and software.
• Knowledge of system integration, testing procedures (FAT/SAT), and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with motion systems, control loading systems, and aerospace test equipment.
