Associate Communications Officer & Content Creator

About the role

The Associate Communications Officer & Content Creator will join the Partnerships Communications Unit within OCHA’s Public Engagement Section in The Hague. Reporting to the head of the unit and under the supervision of the Chief of the Public Engagement Section, the role supports the development and execution of communication strategies that advance OCHA’s advocacy, visibility and fundraising goals.

Key responsibilities

• Gather insights and analysis from traditional, social and digital media monitoring to inform communications strategy and identify reputational risks.
• Support the implementation of communications strategies that raise awareness, drive engagement and build support among target audiences.
• Create compelling, platform‑optimized content for social media, websites and other digital channels.
• Develop and coordinate strategic communications partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging communications trends and technologies.
• Produce and moderate live and scheduled digital content to advance campaign objectives.
• Assist in the development of monitoring and analytics reports.

Required profile

• Full‑time position based in The Hague, Netherlands.
• Located in the Partnerships Communications Unit of OCHA’s Public Engagement Section.
• Reports to the head of the Partnerships Communications Unit and works under the overall supervision of the Chief of the Public Engagement Section.
