Associate Investment Banking – Amsterdam

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) Benelux is looking for a motivated Associate to join its Investment Banking team in Amsterdam. You will work on a diverse client base, including corporates, financial sponsors, and high‑growth companies, delivering strategic advice and financing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of workstreams across M&A, capital markets, and other strategic initiatives.
• Own financial analysis and valuation, ensuring accuracy and clear insight.
• Develop client materials such as pitch books, presentations, and transaction documentation.
• Manage end‑to‑end transaction processes in coordination with senior bankers and product specialists.
• Support origination and structuring of tailored equity and debt financing solutions.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in finance, economics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
• Interest in progressing towards a Vice President role within investment banking.
