Business Analysis Associate

About the role

Adaptfy, a joint venture of SHV and Metyis, is seeking a Business Analysis Associate to join its Data & Analytics team in Amsterdam. The role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to understand business objectives and translate them into solution requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand business objectives, challenges, and operational processes.
• Lead requirements elicitation activities through workshops, interviews, process analysis, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement.
• Document and maintain business, functional, and non‑functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and process models.
• Produce high‑quality artefacts such as BRDs, functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and decision logs.
• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring accurate translation of needs into solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, project managers, scrum masters, architects, engineers, designers, and QA throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support backlog refinement, solution validation, testing, UAT and change impact assessments.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, consulting, product delivery, digital transformation or related roles.
• Strong understanding of BA methodologies, requirements management, business process modelling and solution lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to elicit and document business, functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Excellent analytical and structured problem‑solving skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Ability to produce high‑quality documentation including BRDs, user stories, process maps, use cases and workflow diagrams.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
