Business Development Manager - Public Sector, Acceptance & Partners

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across public‑sector entities, acceptance use cases, and ecosystem partners in Northern Europe. The role combines commercial execution, strategic translation, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive both direct and indirect revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and execute new business opportunities across government, acceptance, and partner‑led channels.
• Support revenue growth through acceptance expansion, new payment flows, and user‑pay services.
• Translate divisional and country strategies into concrete initiatives.
• Engage with national and local public‑sector stakeholders.
• Drive public‑sector payment use cases such as B2G and G2B flows.
• Build and manage relationships with strategic partners, intermediaries, and enablers.
• Collaborate with Services Sales, Specialist Sales, Product, and Country teams in a matrix environment.

Required profile

• Experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial roles.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration abilities.
• Commercial mindset with a balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
