Deep Learning Research Engineer

About the role

Plumerai is building state‑of‑the‑art AI for embedded camera devices. The Deep Learning Research Engineer will help create and ship advanced computer‑vision and multimodal LLM features to millions of devices worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, train, and optimise tiny computer‑vision models (as small as 1 MB) and multimodal LLMs for edge deployment.
• Improve data pipelines, model architectures and training software using Kubernetes, Snowflake and Dataflow.
• Prototype new demos with Streamlit and run large‑scale training jobs on GCP GPUs.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI features into cloud and on‑device solutions.

Required profile

• Strong engineering experience with Python and production‑grade deep‑learning models.
• Proficiency with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras or JAX.
• Hands‑on experience in computer‑vision and multimodal LLM research.
• Willingness to work onsite in Amsterdam (or relocate) with a hybrid schedule.
