Digital Communications Officer

About the role

The International Court of Justice is seeking a Digital Communications Officer to manage its online presence. Working within the Registry’s Information Department, the incumbent will report directly to the Head of the Department and support the Court’s communication strategy through website and social media channels.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the ICJ’s digital web strategy to increase visibility and align with the Court’s communications and branding guidelines.
• Coordinate development, maintenance, and content updates of the Court’s website, ensuring functionality and up‑to‑date information.
• Draft, proofread, and upload web content in collaboration with Registry departments.
• Monitor site usage statistics, analyse trends, and recommend improvements.
• Develop and maintain partner relationships to enhance digital engagement.
• Act as the focal point for website‑related information, communication, and technology issues, providing advice and training as needed.
• Develop and implement a social media strategy, overseeing daily channel management and content creation.
• Design and execute social media campaigns for specific projects, ensuring consistent messaging.
• Collaborate with Registry units to identify priority topics and events for digital communication.

Required profile

• Works under the direct supervision of the Head of Department.
• Reports directly to the Head of the Department.
• Position located in the Registry’s Information Department at The Hague.
