Dishwasher / Porter (Part‑time Fixed‑term)

About the role

We are looking for reliable dishwasher and porter staff to join the busy Orchid House restaurant/hotel in Amsterdam. The position is part‑time and fixed‑term, supporting the kitchen’s daily operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. You will work closely with chefs and other kitchen crew in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures and guidelines.
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment to keep up with kitchen demand.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Manage waste disposal and keep storage areas tidy.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages.

Required profile

• Fluent English speaking.
• Previous experience in dishwashing or similar kitchen role.
• Availability to work late hours.
• Team player with a strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude.
• Reliability and punctuality.
