Electrical Service Technician – Infrastructure Systems

About the role

As an Electrical Service Technician you will maintain and improve electrical, measurement and control systems that keep critical infrastructure such as tunnels, bridges, locks and pumping stations safe and operational 24/7.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, analyse and resolve faults in electrical and mechatronic infrastructure systems.
• Maintain, repair and commission power supply, lighting, communication, pump, signalling and emergency operation installations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, functional checks and measurement reporting.
• Install peripheral equipment and commission technical installations.
• Provide user instructions, advise on technical improvements and support first‑line fault handling.
• Work during evening, night or weekend closures and participate in on‑call standby services.

Required profile

• Red Seal Trade Certificate as Electrician or Millwright, or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience in electrical installation, service, maintenance or troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
• Safety‑first mindset and willingness to obtain Dutch safety certifications.

Required skills

• Electrical installation and distribution systems.
• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of control cabinets, motors and sensors.
• PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Measurement and control technology.
• Communication systems and IP networking.
• Knowledge of Dutch standards NEN 3140 and NEN 1010 (or willingness to learn).
