Event Manager (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Commonland, an international non-profit supporting landscape restoration, is looking for an Event Manager to cover maternity leave in its Communications team. The role is 24 hours per week for 6 months, from January through June 2027, and involves producing events that connect people and planet.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver events with the team lead, aligned with the wider communications strategy
• Produce external events locally, regionally and globally, such as side events at climate conferences
• Help other teams build event impact strategies and seek participation opportunities
• Manage the communications plan for each event, including invitations, brochures, invitees and digital content
• Evaluate events after they finish and track objectives to improve future production

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent, with a proven track record in international event management
• Located and eligible to work in the Netherlands
• Fluency in English

• Salary of EUR 4,000-5,000 gross per month, based on a full-time contract (40 hours)
