Interior Engineer – Yachtbuilding

About the role

Mobeco is seeking an Interior Engineer to join its superyacht interior disciplinary team. You will translate innovative interior concepts into detailed engineering solutions, ensuring every element—from stairs and ceilings to custom furniture—meets luxury standards, functionality, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering plans, 3D models, and technical drawings for superyacht interiors.
• Verify that designs comply with project specifications, class and flag regulations.
• Conduct technical assessments to optimise designs for manufacturability.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges proactively.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and design teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or a related technical field.
• 0.5–1 year of experience in shipbuilding or yacht building, or a strong willingness to enter the industry.
• Evidence of interior‑engineering work, preferably in high‑end residential or marine projects.
• Solid understanding of interior design principles and construction techniques.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Legal right to work in the Netherlands.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Cadmatic, NX).
• Advanced 3D modelling capabilities.
• Technical drawing and engineering plan creation.
• Knowledge of industry standards and relevant maritime regulations.
