Intern Project Control / Accounting

About the role

This internship supports project control and accounting activities for Airbus Netherlands' space programmes, including solar arrays and launcher projects. You will work closely with project controllers and the accounting team to ensure accurate financial data, reporting, and audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Review and support planning of project revenue and costs.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles and performance analysis.
• Maintain and monitor project budgets, prepare forecasts and variance analyses.
• Produce timely project financial reports, cost tracking and progress updates.
• Assist with month‑end closing, KPI analysis using Power BI and corrective actions.
• Support procurement‑finance interface: verify purchase orders, check delivered goods, validate supplier invoices.
• Prepare customer invoice requests and follow up payments.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Bachelor or Master student in Finance or Accounting.
• Proactive attitude with high accuracy and reliability in figures.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Residency in the Netherlands and ability to obtain VOG and security clearance.
• Internship must be part of your curriculum; voluntary internships are not accepted.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with Power BI (plus) and/or SAP (plus).
