Junior Millwright – Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a motivated junior Millwright to join a production site in the Netherlands. The role combines mechanical and electrical maintenance on a variety of machines in an agricultural, manufacturing or food environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, including PLC reading and fault‑finding.
• Carry out welding, repairs, and adjustments on production equipment.
• Support shift work and ensure safe operation of machinery.
• Document maintenance activities and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Red Seal or N3 certification as Millwright or Electrician.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English; Dutch is the company language.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in a production setting.
• Valid driver’s licence and passport.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Required skills

• PLC reading and fault‑finding.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Welding and mechanical repair.
• Knowledge of Siemens PLC, relays and frequency switches (plus).

What we offer

• Fixed‑term 2‑year contract, 40 hours per week.
• Gross salary around €4,300 per month.
• 25 paid holidays plus public holidays (up to 7) and holiday allowance of 8.33%.
