Mission Software Engineer – Connected Warfare

About the role

Anduril’s Connected Warfare Mission Command team is looking for a Mission Software Engineer to design, build and deliver mission‑critical software platforms that enable real‑time command and control at the tactical edge. You will work closely with customers and end‑users to translate operational needs into scalable, resilient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end software solutions spanning core mesh platforms, data interfaces and release management deployed directly to customers.
• Deliver well‑architected, testable and maintainable systems using modern engineering practices and code reviews.
• Partner with end‑users to translate complex requirements into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
• Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build and test cross‑functional functionality.
• Monitor system health, triage production issues, root‑cause failures and coordinate rapid resolution.
• Travel 10‑30 % of the time to customer sites worldwide to build, test and deploy capabilities in the field.

Required profile

• Eligible for a Netherlands (AIVD) Level A or B security clearance.
• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networking, Mathematics or Physics.
• 3‑10+ years of experience with languages such as Go, Rust, C++, Java or Python.
• Experience building software that processes large data sets and integrates complex systems.
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate large code bases and complex architectures.
• Motivation to work on critical software with real‑world impact.
