People Business Partner

About the role

As a People Business Partner at Aceve, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, translating business ambitions into people priorities. Based in Rotterdam (or Zierikzee) you will combine strategic partnership with hands‑on execution, helping the organisation become truly AI‑first while ensuring a seamless employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to improve performance, organisational capability and team effectiveness.
• Coach managers on performance management, change, employee relations and leadership development.
• Drive the adoption of Aceve’s culture, values and AI‑first ways of working.
• Own and continuously improve onboarding, development, performance and off‑boarding processes.
• Use people data and insights to support business decisions and ensure compliance with Dutch labour legislation.
• Collaborate with the People & Culture team to scale HR practices across Europe.

Required profile

• Curious about business, passionate about people and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Strong credibility, humility and collaborative mindset; able to build trust and challenge when needed.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude – spends time in the business, not just behind a screen.
• Enthusiastic about using AI to make work smarter and more enjoyable.

Required skills

• Experience as a People Business Partner or similar HR business partnering role.
• Leadership coaching and stakeholder‑management expertise.
• Solid knowledge of the full employee lifecycle and organisational development.
• Data‑informed decision‑making.
• AI literacy and curiosity about AI applications in HR.
