People Operations Intern – HR Support in Amsterdam

About the role

Join GoSpooky as a People Operations Intern and become the backbone of our HR team. You will support day‑to‑day HR activities in a fast‑moving creative agency, gaining hands‑on experience with onboarding, payroll, and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for new hires and departing staff.
• Maintain and update HR systems, contracts, and job postings.
• Schedule interviews and keep recruitment pipelines organized.
• Support payroll processing and absence tracking.
• Coordinate team events, employee perks, and internal communications.
• Contribute ideas to HR projects and help transition to a new HRIS platform.

Required profile

• Currently studying Human Resources, Work & Organizational Psychology, or a related field (final‑year preferred).
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with checklists.
• Curious about HR processes such as contracts and payroll.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming attitude.
• Discreet, reliable, and able to handle confidential information.
• Based in the Netherlands and enrolled in a relevant academic program.
