Portfolio Manager LDI

About the role

Join Athora Netherlands' Investment Office in Amsterdam as a Portfolio Manager within the Liability‑Driven Investments (LDI) team. You will help manage the public assets of a €71 bn balance sheet, working closely with internal colleagues and external partners such as Apollo Global Management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement portfolio ideas, hedging and balance‑sheet solutions for a complex insurance environment.
• Manage the LDI portfolio across rates, sovereign bonds, liquidity and derivatives, including trade execution.
• Conduct market and portfolio analysis, prepare investment committee proposals and governance materials.
• Oversee liquidity management, currency hedging and risk mitigation.
• Lead strategic projects, policy development and continuous improvement of investment processes.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in fixed‑income portfolio management, financial structuring, liquidity management or trading.
• Strong analytical abilities, ownership mindset and high quality standards.
• Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Eligibility to work in the Netherlands.
