Product Design Engineer

About the role

We design and deliver hardware for a hydration platform that replaces traditional sugary drinks. As a Product Design Engineer you will own the full product development cycle, from concept through to production release, working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end design execution, including concept, trade‑off analysis, detailed CAD, prototyping and production documentation.
• Ensure manufacturability by applying DFM/DFA/DFS/DFC principles for injection molding, sheet metal, CNC machining, welding and finishing.
• Perform engineering validation using calculations, FEA, DFMEA and test‑to‑fail methods.
• Create detailed GD&T drawings and technical documentation for tooling suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Rapidly prototype parts using 3D printing, CNC and laser cutting to validate designs.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of mechanical or industrial design engineering experience for volume‑production hardware.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks with complex assemblies and production‑ready models.
• Hands‑on knowledge of injection molding, sheet metal, CNC machining, welding, powder coating and anodising.
• Experience designing consumer‑facing or premium products where aesthetics are critical.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
