Product Engineering Internship – ML Model Development

About the role

Join NXP's Product Engineering team in Nijmegen to develop machine‑learning solutions for semiconductor test and characterization data. You will work across multiple disciplines to support new IC product development and mass‑production preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative AI/ML solutions for product engineering applications.
• Analyze semiconductor test and characterization data using statistical data‑analysis tools.
• Collaborate with internal sub‑teams and external interfaces to deliver results on time, with optimal quality and cost.
• Support the creation of zero‑defect screening methods and continuous improvement of screening techniques.

Required profile

• Master’s student in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science or a related quantitative field.
• Interest in semiconductor test data, production analytics and industrial ML applications.
• Available for a minimum six‑month full‑time internship.

Required skills

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with data‑analysis or machine‑learning workflows.
• Ability to translate analytical results into practical engineering decisions.
