Scientific Manager Lab (Data) Systems

About the role

The Scientific Manager Lab (Data) Systems leads a specialist team that implements, develops and maintains validated data systems for analytical development in the Cell and Gene Therapy division. The role combines scientific knowledge, lab operations, data management and people leadership to improve efficiency, data traceability and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Global implementation and maintenance of validated data systems to increase data availability, quality and traceability.
• Manage the Data Systems team (1 Team Lead + 3 members) and local equipment team (2 direct reports + external supplier).
• Ensure data integrity through appropriate systems, workflows and compliance with GMP audits.
• Configure master data and automate data capture from analytical equipment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Biomedical Science, Data Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience with data systems in a laboratory environment.
• Proven people‑management experience (5‑10 years) and strong stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus; willingness to travel to the US 10‑15% of the time.

• Competitive base salary €68,600 – €119,600 per year plus 8% holiday allowance.
