Senior Android Engineer – Jetpack Compose (Hybrid, 36h/week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join a strategic digital identity programme across the European Union. You will help build secure, high‑quality Android solutions that enable authentication and identity verification for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin, Java and Jetpack Compose.
• Implement security‑ and compliance‑driven features with a focus on usability and reliability.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 3+ engineers to meet tight project timelines.
• Guide and mentor junior and medior developers, ensuring best‑practice coding standards.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience as an Android Engineer.
• Proven expertise in Kotlin and Java development.
• Extensive experience with Jetpack Compose and modern UI/UX design.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines.
• Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Background in corporate or enterprise environments is advantageous.

• Fixed‑term contract until 31 December 2026 (option to extend)

• Hybrid work model: 1 mandatory onsite day per week (2 days preferred) in Amsterdam
