Senior Associate ESG Assurance

About the role

As a Senior Associate in ESG Assurance at PwC, you will help leading companies meet their sustainability commitments by auditing ESG information, primarily under the EU CSRD framework. You will work within a dedicated sustainability audit team while also supporting the broader PwC audit practice.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute assurance engagements for corporate ESG data, focusing on CSRD/ESRS reporting.
• Review KPI metrics such as carbon emissions, safety incidents, and other ESG disclosures for large listed clients.
• Develop expertise in EU Taxonomy, GHG Protocol and related sustainability standards.
• Conduct client interviews, workshops and CSRD readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with audit managers and senior team members to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Master’s degree and a post‑master Registered Accountancy course (in progress or completed).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant audit or ESG assurance experience.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

Required skills

• Experience with CSRD/ESRS reporting frameworks.
• Knowledge of EU Taxonomy and GHG Protocol.
• Proficiency in performing independent audit work and coaching junior staff.
