Senior Backend Engineer - Operator Team

Fastned, a listed company operating a network of over 400 fast‑charging stations across Europe, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Operator team. You will help build and evolve Revolt Admin, the internal platform used to manage stations, chargers, sessions, users and payments, directly impacting the scalability and reliability of the charging network.

• Design, develop, test and review reusable, maintainable and scalable code for Revolt Admin and related operational platforms.
• Deliver core Operator milestones that improve platform reliability and charging infrastructure.
• Work AI‑first, integrating AI‑augmented engineering tools where they add value.
• Take ownership from discovery through post‑production, including monitoring, alerting and incident analysis.
• Improve engineering methodologies, mentor teammates and act as a technical sparring partner.

• 7+ years of professional backend experience.
• Strong hands‑on Kotlin and/or Java expertise.
• Experience building and operating microservices in production with REST APIs, cloud platforms and relational databases.
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures and technologies such as Kafka.
• Hands‑on experience with Elasticsearch.
• Focus on reliability, maintainability and operational impact.
• Clear communication, collaborative mindset and willingness to mentor.
• Fluent English and alignment with Fastned’s sustainability mission.
