Senior Consultant Accounting & Reporting Advisory

About the role

PwC’s Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory team is expanding in Amsterdam and seeks a Senior Consultant to support clients through complex accounting and financial reporting challenges linked to IFRS, Dutch GAAP, US GAAP, IPOs, M&A and other transformational projects.

Key responsibilities

• Execute high‑quality technical accounting and capital‑markets work for clients.
• Lead and mentor junior consultants while reporting to Managers and Senior Managers.
• Identify client needs, build relationships and contribute to client meetings.
• Prepare complex written materials and oral advice on accounting issues.
• Work independently on non‑complex topics and flag issues to senior staff.
• Assist senior team members with assessments of accounting requirements for transactions such as leasing, consolidations, refinancing, hedging, GAAP conversions, revenue recognition and business combinations.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience applying IFRS, Dutch GAAP and/or US GAAP.
• Proven ability to handle financial instruments, leasing, consolidation, fair‑value, revenue recognition and business‑combination accounting.
• Team‑player with an entrepreneurial, proactive mindset.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
