Senior Contract Manager – Construction & Projects (BESS)

About the role

As a Senior Contract Manager for Construction & Projects you will lead contractual matters throughout the development, procurement, construction and delivery phases of large‑scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. You will work hand‑in‑hand with Project Managers, Legal Counsel, suppliers, EPC contractors and senior management, ensuring contractual compliance and commercial interests are protected.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex EPC, FIDIC and UAV‑GC contracts from negotiation through project completion.
• Monitor contractual obligations, governance, risk exposure and commercial interests across large‑scale BESS projects.
• Participate in negotiations with suppliers, contractors and other parties, acting as a contractual adviser and sparring partner.
• Assess claims, variations, change orders and performance obligations, ensuring proper contractual administration during execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of contract management experience in complex construction, energy or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with EPC contracts and strong knowledge of FIDIC and UAV‑GC frameworks.
• Experience working with international contracts and multidisciplinary project environments.
• Strong command of English; Dutch is an advantage.
• Independent, entrepreneurial mindset with confidence at the negotiation table.
