Senior Information Technology Assistant

About the role

The International Court of Justice is seeking a Senior Information Technology Assistant to lead its Digital Operations, Platforms and User Support Unit. Reporting to the Head of the ICT Division, the incumbent will oversee end‑user ICT services, service desk operations and IT asset management for the Court’s staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coordinate the unit’s activities, set operational priorities and monitor delivery of high‑quality digital services.
• Lead the service desk and front‑line user support, ensuring incidents and service requests are logged, prioritised, escalated and resolved efficiently.
• Oversee workplace technology services, endpoint support, platform administration and IT asset management in line with business needs.
• Supervise two staff members (an Information Systems Assistant and an IT Technician), managing performance, work planning and quality control.
• Act as the operational focal point, coordinating with other ICT units, business users and external providers to maintain service continuity, compliance and user satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading ICT support or digital operations teams.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills with responsibility for staff performance and work planning.
• Strong ability to plan, coordinate and continuously improve ICT service delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
