Senior PMO Lead – Global Port Projects

About the role

As a Senior PMO Lead at APM Terminals, you will support, maintain and continuously improve the Project Management Framework for global terminal implementation projects. Based in The Hague, you will work closely with project teams, portfolio heads and senior stakeholders to strengthen governance and delivery discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve the APM Terminals Project Management Framework, including processes, standards, templates, tools and best practices.
• Provide PMO guidance and constructive challenge to improve project delivery discipline and decision quality.
• Coordinate reporting, governance routines and stage‑gate reviews, ensuring clear, reliable performance information.
• Support implementation and assurance of project controls across schedule, cost, scope, risk, change and reporting.
• Facilitate workshops, onboarding, training and capability building for project teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in project management, PMO or project controls, preferably in civil infrastructure, ports, terminals or other capital‑intensive sectors.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel globally (15‑25% of time).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of project management processes, governance, stage‑gate reviews and document management.
• Expertise with MS365 (including Copilot) and project management tools such as PMWeb, Aconex or Oracle Primavera Cloud.
• Experience developing and implementing project management frameworks, standards and templates.
