Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Partner Integrations

About the role

As the founding backend engineer for ClickHouse Cloud partner integrations, you will make the product a first‑class citizen in customers' trusted environments. You will own the end‑to‑end design, implementation, and production operation of integrations that span major cloud data platforms, BI tools, and developer marketplaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own the architecture for authentication, identity flows, multi‑tenancy, data movement, performance, and production reliability.
• Run and support the services you build, including on‑call duties, infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and observability.
• Work on external platforms with limited documentation, clearly communicating risks and dependencies.
• Collaborate closely with internal service owners to define interfaces and keep progress moving.
• Document technical decisions and shape the team’s direction through design docs and RFCs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development, especially on data‑heavy or integration‑focused systems.
• Strong backend and systems instincts, comfortable with deployment topologies, multi‑tenancy, and data movement trade‑offs.
• Experience with modern authentication protocols, service principals, and identity federation across trust boundaries.
• Proven ability to ship in ambiguous environments and make prudent architectural decisions early.
• Effective collaboration with engineers outside your team and clear written communication.
