Senior Solutions Architect – EDW Migrations

About the role

Databricks is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to lead enterprise data‑warehouse (EDW) migrations to its Data Intelligence Platform across EMEA. You will work closely with product, GTM leadership and account teams to design migration strategies, create technical assets and act as the top escalation point for complex migrations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with EMEA GTM leadership to design and drive regional migration strategy for large‑scale EDW moves.
• Architect and continuously refine programmatic migration guides and assets for field teams and partners.
• Develop and enhance automated assessment tools used during customer engagements.
• Serve as tier‑3 technical champion, handling complex or stalled migrations in must‑win accounts.
• Mentor and coach the EMEA community of Solutions Architects and Specialist Solutions Architects to scale the migration practice.

Required profile

• 8+ years of customer‑facing pre‑sales, architect or consulting experience influencing CIOs, CISOs, DBAs and platform leads.
• Deep knowledge of legacy EDW systems (Teradata, Netezza, Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, Exadata) and how to transition them to a lakehouse architecture.
• Hands‑on experience designing big‑data solutions on major public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
