Senior Solutions Engineer – Benelux

About the role

As a Senior Solutions Engineer in the Benelux Geo team, you will lead technical engagements for high‑growth customers, handling discovery, solution design and platform demonstrations to drive Databricks adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Independently lead technical discovery and solution design for workloads across data engineering, analytics, machine learning and GenAI.
• Build and deliver compelling proofs‑of‑concept and live demos on the Databricks platform.
• Own frontline technical relationships with customer engineers, data teams and technical leads.
• Develop account‑level technical strategies with the Account Executive to grow platform consumption.
• Navigate competitive landscapes by articulating Databricks differentiation through hands‑on demonstrations.
• Contribute reusable technical assets such as notebooks, solution accelerators and reference architectures.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, solutions architecture, technical pre‑sales or hands‑on consulting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with ability to write production‑quality code; live coding required.
• Hands‑on experience designing data solutions on at least one public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Working knowledge of distributed data systems such as Apache Spark™, Delta Lake, Hadoop, Kafka or Flink.
• Experience leading technical customer conversations including discovery, whiteboarding and architecture reviews.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
