Site Safety Manager EOS

About the role

Acciona Netherlands is seeking a Site Safety Manager for the EOS project. The role focuses on ensuring the health, safety and environmental (SHE) performance of the construction site, supporting project teams and delivering compliance with legal and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform safety, health and environmental audits and other legally required protocols.
• Act as a SHE ambassador, coaching and training project staff on safe behaviours and compliance.
• Manage on‑site SHE compliance, including risk assessments, method statements and permit‑to‑work processes.
• Assist Project and Construction Managers on SHE matters and coordinate SHE trainings.
• Control site SHE systems, discuss performance with site managers, supervisors and the SHE manager.
• Address client SHE concerns and expectations.
• Lead daily toolbox talks, verify safe execution of planned activities and document attendance.
• Ensure site access control follows project requirements.
• Implement and update the SHE plan as needed.
• Conduct regular site assessments, report unsafe conditions and stop work when necessary.

Required profile

• Proven experience in SHE management on construction sites.
• Knowledge of Dutch safety legislation and industry best practices.
• Ability to conduct audits, risk assessments and permit‑to‑work reviews.
• Strong communication skills to train and advise multidisciplinary teams.
