Job description
About the role
Hudl is hiring an Engineer II for its Platform squad, which supports the build systems, tooling, update pipeline and security processes behind its next-generation, fully automated sports cameras. The cameras use edge AI to track action and upload to the cloud, and the platform takes them from development through manufacturing to the field. The role is based in Den Bosch, with regular in-office collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Help hardware squads integrate their work into CI/CD pipelines so every change is built, tested and delivered reliably.
- Create and improve the tools engineers use to build, flash, debug and test devices.
- Maintain the CI/CD infrastructure, including regression testing used in manufacturing.
- Roll out software updates to customer cameras safely and predictably.
- Provide tooling for contract manufacturers to flash, provision and test devices on the production line.
- Work autonomously in a squad with the freedom to deliver the best solution.
Required profile
- Experience with Yocto, building and customizing images.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab or Jenkins, including build automation and automated testing.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable tools and automation in Bash and Python, and comfort with Docker and Linux system administration.
- Fluent use of AI coding tools and critical evaluation of their output.
Nice-to-have
- Over-the-air update framework experience.
- Tooling for flashing, provisioning or end-of-line tests in production environments.
- SoC vendor BSPs, flashing tools or secure boot experience.
- C/C++ debugging from user space down to kernel drivers.
- Identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities in embedded Linux systems.
What we offer
- Flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and remote work options.
- A paid sabbatical every five years.
- Open, honest culture with autonomy over your work.
- Resources and opportunities for professional development.
- Wellbeing support, including an Employee Assistance Program.
The base salary range is EUR 51,000 to EUR 85,000, with starting salaries typically near the middle.
