Specialist Audit – Internal Control & SOX 404 Auditor

About the role

Join the Corporate Audit team at MSD’s Haarlem facility to provide independent, risk‑based audit and assurance services. You will help strengthen internal controls across financial, operational, SOX 404, IT and process areas, supporting the company’s mission to drive medical innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the execution of financial, operational, and SOX 404 audits both domestically and abroad.
• Execute audit programs and work papers, including walkthroughs and sample testing, in line with quality standards and timelines.
• Collaborate with the audit team to write audit summaries and reports that describe control concerns, associated risks, and recommendations.
• Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, independence, integrity and quality in all audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• ACCA or CPA license.
• Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Minimum of 3 years audit experience in public accounting.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 30 % domestically and internationally.
