Staff Project Engineer – Project Engineering

About the role

The Staff Project Engineer will lead and execute complex engineering projects within Johnson & Johnson's supply chain, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, customer requirements, and regulatory standards such as GXP. This role combines technical expertise with project management to deliver innovative solutions across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Lead Engineer on high‑complexity projects, coordinating all engineering disciplines and managing the full project lifecycle from feasibility to closure.
• Develop and review technical specifications, reports, proposals and presentations, and ensure compliance with Dutch, European and Janssen Biologics standards.
• Manage progress and quality with external engineering firms, on‑site contractors and internal stakeholders, including change control and management of change activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Life Sciences with 7‑9 years of multidisciplinary project experience.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and communicate effectively in both written and verbal English.
• Experience with GXP requirements, Change Control and regulatory compliance in a life‑science environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
• Knowledge of GXP, Change Control processes and VCA‑VOL qualification.
• Working knowledge of Eudralex Annex 1 application.
