Station Load Master - Amsterdam

About the role

The Station Load Master ensures that all ground handling activities for Emirates SkyCargo flights departing from Amsterdam are performed safely, efficiently and in line with airline and airport standards. You will coordinate loading and unloading operations, supervise ground handling agents and guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and verify all ground handling arrangements before each flight.
• Supervise the Ground Handling Agent to achieve optimal load configuration and efficiency.
• Prepare and issue loading instruction reports, weight‑and‑balance and trim sheets to the Pilot in Command.
• Ensure safe and timely unloading of aircraft and manage special cargo handling, including temperature‑controlled and pharmaceutical shipments.
• Coordinate with crew, hotel, line‑maintenance engineers and airport authorities to maintain on‑time departures.
• Conduct security searches of the main deck cargo compartment and verify the identity of all grooms boarding the aircraft.
• Monitor the serviceability of loading equipment and liaise with engineering for rectifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in airline cargo or ground handling operations.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft weight‑and‑balance principles and load planning.
• Familiarity with EU Good Distribution Practice (EU GDP) requirements for temperature‑sensitive cargo.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.
