User Validation Engineer

About the role

The User Validation Engineer advocates for end users throughout product development and market lifecycle, ensuring high‑quality launches and continuous product experience improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Review early hardware and software concepts with Product Managers, define experience KPIs, acceptance criteria and conduct user testing on mockups and software flows.
• Define and manage prototype, dogfooding, alpha, beta and regression test plans, including beta platform execution, cohort recruitment and tester engagement.
• Administer feedback collection tools, crash‑reporting and telemetry systems, synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into actionable reports.
• Translate post‑launch market insights and support trends into usability investigations and feedback loops with Product Managers and QA.

Required profile

• 7+ years in user validation, QA, UX research or technical program management for consumer electronics.
• Experience designing and running small‑scale alpha tests (20‑50 users) and large‑scale beta trials (200+ participants).
• Formal training in Statistics, HCI, Industrial Design, Psychology or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Jira environment proficiency.
• Research tools such as UserTesting and Maze.
• Beta‑testing platforms (e.g., Centercode, Betabound or proprietary tools).
• Statistical analysis and empirical study design.
• Knowledge of firmware deployment, hardware validation and multi‑layer device architecture.
