Full Stack Engineer – Rotterdam

About the role

Join ALTEN Netherlands as a Full Stack Engineer in Rotterdam and work on high‑impact client projects across automotive, high‑tech, transport, defence and telecom sectors. You will be part of a growing team that delivers innovative, scalable web solutions for a diverse portfolio of global and emerging companies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable web applications covering both frontend and backend.
• Build responsive, user‑friendly interfaces using modern frontend frameworks.
• Develop robust backend services, APIs and system integrations.
• Translate technical requirements into clean, efficient, maintainable code.
• Identify, analyze and solve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions.
• Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, high‑performing solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3–8 years of professional full‑stack development experience.
• Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js.
• Experience with backend technologies like Node.js, Java, Python or .NET.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, databases, cloud platforms and modern software architectures.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
